CONNECTING CREATING GROUNDING

  • Term offerings change (Therefore prices do too), it’s best to keep an eye on socials for updates. You do however need to book in for the whole offering to allow for an opportunity to connect with others and our space. These 4-6 week nature play sessions run on a Friday. Sessions are generally $27.50 each.

However, casual positions do become available from time to time at $30 per session.

Each additional sibling over 6mths is an additional $5 per session.

  • Sessions are 9.15am-10.30am.

  • Parking is available along the front of property. Look out for the Kindred Folk sign, follow the path around the back and down to the bush space.

  • Drink bottle, Hat, Sunscreen, Mozzie spray, towel & possibly a change of clothes if your little one decides to take a dip in the creek when its flowing.

On our wet weather days, gumboots & rain jackets.

  • Casual spaces come up from time to time. We do recommend booking in for the full term offering to avoid the disappointment of missing out. Casual spaces are advertised on socials and are $30 per session + $5 per extra sibling.

  • Due to the costs associated with creating our sessions, refunds are not available. If for any reason you cannot attend the session, please get in touch. Here at Kindred Folk, we will do our best to find & organise a makeup day for you.

  • Hi, I'm Bec. Together with my husband Luke and our son Hartley, we moved to Landsborough in late '21' in an effort to re-wild ourselves and escape the busyness of Caloundra. With our little one in tow we searched for a space to connect with likeminded families to engage in nature-based play and creation. After our search came up empty, we decided to work on creating our own space, where we could invite others to join us on our journey to form a deeper connection to Mama Earth through play. This was the birth of Kindred Folk, a kindness collective where everyone can feel safe and welcomed without judgement to reconnect to land, be creative, inquisitive and disconnect from our busy worlds. I have worked in the industry for 16 years and hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood. I have a passion for sustainable practice, a love of nature an creative expression. We would love for you to join us barefoot in our beautiful forest space to get lost in play and the beauty of our natural world.

  • Each additional sibling over 6m is an additional $5 per session.

  • Our age range is 1yr to 4yrs, however all bubs would benefit from engaging in some level of nature play.

  • Kindred Folk is home based in, Landsborough, QLD, 4550

    Address provided upon booking.

What our community shares ♡

  • Playgroup every Wednesday has been the highlight of our week since we started coming. I love that our girls are learning how to play independently and confidently outdoors and have become more confident socialising. We cherish this beautiful little community you’ve created. The amount of effort and precision you put in to the activities every week is one of my favourite things to witness and never goes unnoticed- We love that there’s always something new to try out. Such a beautiful, sacred space for like-minded families to meet. We are so grateful to experience the land that you’ve so kindly allowed us to explore! Thank you, Bec🫶🏼🌻

  • Each week Bec creates such a magical and wonderful space for my daughter to engage in self directed play in a beautifully supported way. Bec continually makes connections to the land through stories and play stations. The flow of each session allows for the parents to connect as well as the minis!

  • Kindred Folk Group is such an amazing space for my daughter to connect with nature, other kiddies and her imagination. Bec has a special way with the little ones and I see my daughters eyes light up every time we enter her beautiful forest. I’m not super creative myself and value the effort that Bec puts into every little detail. I also enjoy the playgroup myself, being surrounded by like minded parents and slowly learning how to let my daughter get nice and dirty through play!

  • I absolutely love taking my daughter to Kindred Folk on Thursdays - it's the highlight of our week! Bec is an incredible host. She is so passionate about early childhood education and, more specifically, the essential role nature plays in a child's development and wellbeing. She is so creative and always has exciting activities planned for each session for your little one. The sessions are situated at Bec's stunning home in the hinterland with it's own private creek running through the property and chickens that run free at the end! Just make sure you bring some spare clothes and a towel for your little ones as they will get their hands (and feet and bodies) dirty as they explore, splash, climb, crawl and run wild. I highly recommend it!

  • My daughters both 2 & 4 have loved every session we have attended at Kindred Folk. Bec is an incredible and passionate person who provides such amazing spaces for the children to create & play in nature from creating bird feeders, making orange juice, painting, balancing, mud kitchen fun, feeding the chickens, dancing by the creek just to name a few - something new each time. It's such amazing space for play. We can’t recommend Kindred Folk enough – not only is it an amazing space for the kiddies, it’s a great way to connect with like minded mums.
